Grand Hotel Europe Lucerne - Reopening Party
I went to the Grand Hotel Europe re-opening party in Lucerne yesterday with my family. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious, people were in a good mood, nice atmosphere, funny music (Balkan music and Schlager music lol) and we also had the chance to see the renovated rooms. We had an amazing evening!!!!

Korner Zürich
Went to the burger-restaurant "Korner" for lunch to catch up with a friend I met in NYC.
I went there 2 weeks ago for the first time with some ladies from work and the burger and the fries were really delicious! Last time I ordered the "Korner burger" and the "Korner fries".
It takes quite some time (about 20minutes ?) until the food is served but the beef is freshly minced every day and only top quality local ingredients are used so it's worth waiting!
This time I tried the vegetarian burger "The Belly Dancer" (red lentils burger with grilled Halloumi cheese and vegetables). Yummy! However, I advice you to share the fries with someone and not to order the whole one for yourself... It is waaaay too much! Last time we were only girls and ordered one bucket and shared with 2 which is doable. But this time I went with a guy and of course he wanted to have the whole bucket to himself so I ordered one for myself too.... Huge mistake... I felt a lil sick afterwards and my stomach was still full until midnight. :P But don't get me wrong, the food is really good!
During the week the place is overcrowded with business men (and some business ladies) since it's located at the office area.

Ladurée Zurich

Went shopping on Saturday and spoiled myself with macarons from Ladurée. I bought 4 pieces: Yuzu Ginger, Strawberry Mint, Incroyable Coconut Chocolate and Chocolate - and paid CHF 10.- altogether... But this weekend was all about pampering myself so I'm not gonna feel guilty. ;)
I also bought a three-tiered cake stand made of sturdy cardboard. Might sound like a cheap, kitschy kids' party stationery but it is not! It's really pretty! I've been looking for a tiered cake stand for some time but couldn't find a nice one. Then I found this one in "Confo Déco", a pretty decoration and interior shop behind Jelmoli in Zurich. I love to shop there because they have many lovely stuff for fair prices. It's also a perfect place for present shopping!
So, until I find a suitable tiered cake stand made of silver or porcelain, I'm gonna use this one! :)

Coconut Chocolate was my favorite - it was so soft and chewy, not too sweet, sooo yummy - just perfect!
It's really unfortunate that there is no Ladurée café in Zurich where you can have breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and/or dinner like in Paris or Tokyo...

Thai-Massage-Seefeld
Yesterday, I was able to finish work at 5PM and went to a Thai massage that my colleague from work recommended. The past few days were quite stressful at work and I was so tensed that I desperately needed a massage. My head, neck and shoulders are always stiff but this time it was so bad, not even Yoga helped. It feels like my head, neck and shoulders are made of stone...
I first called at Deluxe Cosmetic at the Hürlimann Areal for an oil massage since I had a coupon but they are fully booked until mid of July! The coupon expires on 1 August so I made an appointment immediately for the next month. BUT I need a massage today or at least tomorrow! Otherwise, I'll go crazy with these heavy stones on my shoulders!
I had another coupon for a 3.5 hours spa treatment (ahhhhh) which I got on my birthday but the Thermalbad & Spa Zürich didn't pick up the phone... So, I ended up with Thai-Massage where my sweet colleague&friend M goes to regularly and usually gets an appointment even on the same day she calls. Thank God the Thai-Massage Seefeld wasn't fully booked and I could get an appointment at 6PM on the same day!
I arrived at Münchhaldenstrasse 7 ten minutes too early but the friendly and petite Thai-lady let me inside and directly into the massage room. I wasn't sure how much German or English she could understand, I just said "Thai-Öl Massage für 45 Minuten. ...45 minutes...?" She smiled and nodded "Ja!".
Ahhh the following 45minutes felt soooo good! It was also painful but after the massage I felt much better - the heavy stones felt lighter... The masseuse tried to explain that my shoulders are very stiff and that she had to concentrate on that part but too much wouldn't be good either. Well, I would definitely come back again! CHF 75.- for 45minutes is quite ok. Next time I'll book a 60minutes massage, though... ;)
